You Don't Have to Suffer Alone

Our most painful hurt happens in relationships, therefore our healing must also happen in relationships. As humans, we are not meant to be alone. Clients who work with me appreciate the feeling of safety and security I work to create in the therapeutic relationship. I attune to their needs and encourage them to tell me when something is working for them in therapy, as well as when something is not working. Experiencing a therapeutic relationship in which these difficult conversations are welcomed plays a significant role in the healing process.

Whoever you are, I believe you are already capable of healing and self-love. My job is simply to guide you with compassion, insight, non-judgment, a spirit of inquiry, and, sometimes, humor.

That said, I do particularly well with some types of clients. Here are some examples:

• clients who may find it difficult to open up
• those who identify as perfectionists or people pleasers
• clients who have had past negative experiences with therapy
• those who have experienced traumatic grief, whether sudden, or due to a long-term illness.
• those who have experienced childhood trauma and abuse
• clients who have estranged familial relationships
• those who have experienced religious trauma
• neurodivergent people (autism spectrum, sensory processing issues, ADHD, etc)
• those who identify as highly sensitive and have had their emotions invalidated, leading to significant self-doubt
